Canvas
If you have chosen to print your artwork on canvas then you might be interested to read about the high quality materials used in our product.
Quality Canvas
At Design by Kate we have chosen a printer that offers the highest quality in canvas printing. There are many different grades of canvas ranging from cheaper low-grade polyester/cotton blends which have a thin appearance and limited life span and produce dull looking artwork, to top quality 100% cotton canvases made in Europe and North America. Our printer uses USA-made archival, acid-free matte that’s recognized as the world’s leading fine art canvas.
The canvas used is:
- Bright white - meaning you get fantastic colour and definition
- Water resistant
- Archival - rated to 100 years
- Heavyweight (more like denim than a bed sheet)
- More textured than most canvases on the market
Framing
Most canvas printers use pine framing to stretch their prints. Our printer uses kiln-dried Meranti timber which offers better resistance to twisting, warping and other defects. The timber is straight-grained, uniform in appearance sourced from renewable forests. Giving your artwork that extra strength to last over the years.
Inks and colours
Your artwork is created using genuine Epson Ultrachrome inks, producing bold, bright, vibrant colours that make the artwork look stunning on a wall. Please be aware that colours may vary slightly due to your computer not being callorborated correctly. Artworks are printed as close to the original colours on our website as possible.
Finishing
Hanging your artwork easy and pain free! Your canvas will come with a cord attached ready to hang from the box.
